Women frequently face
significant barriers to engaging in treatment and may have difficulty
balancing the demands of motherhood and interpersonal relations with the
tasks required to participate in a comprehensive intervention. Women
referred to treatment by the Department of Human Services and the
Department of Children and Family Services may be eligible for outreach services
from experienced community Case Coordinators. Case Coordinators
can provide the following services:

Coordination of screening and referral between DCFS,
DHS, and Duane Dean Behavioral Health Center

Provide client-focused case coordination that
addresses barriers to engaging in treatment

Transport clients to treatment and related
appointments

Complete home visits and follow-up contacts with
women who fail to enter treatment, or who drop out of treatment

Link clients to community services
