Deborah E. Woodruff

Mrs. Woodruff is a lifelong resident of Kankakee County, raised in rural Bonfield and currently residing in Kankakee.

In 1998, Mrs. Woodruff graduated from Herscher High School, where she was a member of National Honor Society, an Illinois State Scholar, and highly active in music and volunteer clubs.

Mrs. Woodruff spent five years working and attending college full time. In 2001, she earned her Associate's Degree in Business from Kankakee Community College, where she served as Vice President, then President of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Then in 2004, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business with a Sociology minor from Olivet Nazarene University, where she was a member of Phi Delta Lambda honor society.

In March 2004, Mrs. Woodruff was appointed Kankakee County Auditor, a position that has allowed her to serve the community in one of the greatest ways possible--by ensuring accountability where our tax dollars are concerned. Mrs. Woodruff has since been elected to that position twice--in 2004 and 2008. In November 2008, she became the first Kankakee County official to earn the designation of Certified County Official (Level 1).

She and her husband Adam were married in 2003. In January of 2008, they were blessed with their first child named Wyatt.
